Welcome
Welcome To Our Lodge Website "This site is dedicated to those who came before us and those who come after forevermore."
- FRATER TOTUS "Brothers All" Some News and Events From Around The Lodge
About the Freemason Freemasonry is chivalry and teaches us that each member has a duty to their God, their country, their neighbor, and themselves. We are taught not only to hold each life as sacred, but to hold sacred each memory and experience that gives that life meaning. We learn that the greatest battles fought are against the demons within ourselves and the greatest peace one can offer is through eternal vigilance. We are taught to seek the angels of our better nature and with those wings lift up those in despair or in need. We are given the tools of Masonry and are taught to build that spiritual Temple within ourselves. As workers and warriors, professors and priests, we move at all social levels and yet as brothers we meet as equals. Our history is that of Sword, Trowel & Song. Our prayers are to the Great Architect of the Universe and our duties are not only to ourselves but to that undiscovered country. We are the Freemasons, we are the Light that is not seen until Darkness has fallen. Then we shine. Reminding all of duty to their God and and fellow man, to foster and nurture the good in men, making good men better.
Our Charity Dollars at Work The Christian Care Center at Park Dale Baptist Church, to which our lodge donates $500 a year, provided food and clothes for 1009 individuals in the month of September! This is what Masons do- we help, aid, and support the community in which we live.

Grand Masters Honors
Past Master Daniel D. Countiss (PM of Loma Alto 544 as well as Corpus Christi 189) was honored at the Grand Master's Conference in McAllen Lodge on January 24. Grand Master W. David Counts, Jr. presented the Grand Master's Medal to Past Master Countiss. The award recognized Bro. Countiss's key role in the superlative achievement of Corpus Christi Lodge No. 189 in receiving over $57,000 in raffle ticket sales in three charity raffles conducted by the lodge from 2005 to 2008. The Grand Master ordered Bro. Dan to wear this medal at Lodge meetings for the rest of the year! It's a handsome medal suspended from a red ribbon worn around the neck. -Bro. Tom Wimberly Past Master and Scribe Corpus Christi 189
In The Press... (Our Lodge in the Corpus Christi Caller Times)
Crockett Christmas Coat Donation Freemasonry has created some wonderful traditions throughout its long existence. On December 11, 2008 a favorite Christmas tradition of Corpus Christi Masonic Lodge 189 was carried out it due form. Some 15 years ago when the Corpus Christi Independent School District initiated its Adopt-A-School program the Masons of Lodge 189 stepped up and adopted Crockett Elementary School. The Lodge has continued its relationship with the school over the years and has cultivated it to include reading to the students, donating winter coats to the children at Christmas, and donations of books to the school's library. This year Lodge 189 was able to donate 45 coats to the schools children in need.
